Millersville is home. We’ve been the local plumbing and heating shop here since 1961 — these days out of our shop on North George Street — so when something goes wrong, you’re calling someone who’s actually down the road, not a call center.
Municipal in town, wells just outside
Millersville borough is on municipal water, but most homes just outside of town run on private wells — and we work on both every day. We replace well-pump pressure tanks, swap the aging water-meter valves original to a lot of these older homes, and test and treat well water, which around here runs hard and usually needs a properly sized softener to handle the scale, plus a UV system to keep it safe to drink. We test first and put in what your water actually needs — no oversizing to hit a price point.
Older homes, familiar systems
A lot of Millersville is old, and it shows in the plumbing — cast-iron drain lines that need snaking and older copper supply lines starting to fail. On the heating side, most homes run a split system, a boiler or furnace paired with central AC, with a few boiler-only houses still around. Fuel is a mix of oil and natural gas; heat pumps are still the minority here, but we’re seeing more go in every year. When a system’s ready to replace, we size it with a real load calculation — the difference between comfort and a decade of headaches.
What we’re called for most
Everyday plumbing keeps us busy in Millersville — toilets, drains, leaks, and repairs, plus the well and water work above. But the side of our business growing fastest here is heating and cooling: furnace and AC replacements, boiler work, and full system installs sized to the house with a real load calculation. Whatever it is, you get our own crew, an honest recommendation, and no pressure.
